Still, there is much to do. We invite other organizations, companies, and individuals to join our list of supporters. To find out how, call Maryland Ravens, Inc. at (410)825-5359.
What We've Accomplished...
From January through December 2008, the Maryland Ravens' Disability Awareness Program (DAP) focused primarily on providing support
to Baltimore City's physically challenged participants who require transportation, equipment, or financial assistance so that they
could participate in the wheelchair basketball programs as well as disability awareness demonstrations in many Maryland schools. The
number of schools and agencies visited during fiscal year 2008 was 30 presenting to 7,028 attendees which averages 234 students, faculty
and parents per assembly. In addition, the Maryland Ravens (with the support of Baltimore City's Therapeutic Recreation Division) were
able to provide athletic training to approximately 20 physically challenged persons whereby maintaining a competitive co-ed wheelchair
basketball team which is nationally recognized.
Here's What They're Saying...
Dear Mr. Diggs:
On behalf of the special education students, and faculty, and staff.of White Oak School, I would like to thank you for your participation in the 4th Annual White Oak School "Incredible Kids Day" event, a full day of interactive mini-workshops and faculty basketball game highlighting disability awareness.
Ms. Regina Martini, Principal
Dear Eddie and the Maryland Ravens:
Everyone would like to thank you for your participation in Warren Elementary's Special
Awareness Day again this year. The Maryland Ravens are a real highlight of the day for the students, as well as, the teachers and
parent volunteers. Your group shares such a wealth of information as well as their feelings, which helps the students understand that
a disability doesnt have to stop you from doing many of the things that you would like to do.
The students truly experience and
can understand your motto to "look beyond the disabilities....you will find people with abilities.
Again, thanks so much for all you did to help make Warren Elementary's Special Awareness Day special.

Mr. Diggs,
You are more than welcome. In fact, the appreciation comes from us. You all did a great job of bringing awareness to the
Boeing Philadelphia site. Employees felt engaged and rewarded; being given the opportunity to play and learn from you all. So, on
behalf of the Boeing Philadelphia site, "thank you" for your valuable time, efforts and dedication in helping provide awareness of
the abilities of others, to the Boeing employees.
I also wanted to share some of the photos taken of the basketball game. The game
